I am slowly being driven crazy by the incessant barking of my 3 dogs. They sit by the front windows and bark, all day long. They bark at people, other dogs, the garbage truck... nothing I do will make them stop. I've tried putting them in the room for 5 minutes, then letting them out. They run straight back to the window. Maybe something like those extendable barriers for doorways, but with some canvas or tarp across it so that they can't see through it? They make stick-on privacy decals that let light in, but make it blurry or difficult to make out any detail...that might set em off more though. Anything blurry could be a potential thing worthy of barking at.

Our cat enjoys destroying our blinds as well. She doesn't bark much though, so it's more of a silent annoyance.

That is what my pit bull does. Ronan never shuts up. He barks at shadows. He has chewed threw the the main door to the house no lie. There is only a 1/4 inch remaining. He has chewed up a toaster. He has demolished blinds. My dog Harley half golden retriever/half German Shepard jumped threw the sliding glass door. When I left for work. I know all to well about the damage. I've tried those kind of blinds, my dogs chewed them up along with the window sill. I still love my dogs.

A little use of a muzzle helped my dogs for the most part. All I really have to do is bring out the muzzle and shake it at them and they shut up for a good half an hour or more.

if you find this out, let me know. Our Pom does the same thing.

Woke my sisters baby up over a leaf earlier barking. Therefore woke me up by an hour straight of crying (baby is sick, so she was not happy to be awakened.)
