Hey, I have moments of smoosh. This borders on it. OTOH, it's smooshy on levels consistent with extended canon. So!

Ah, there's nothing wrong with smoosh, even with those two. The challenge in writing them is keeping them IC, and you've got that down. There are some great moments even in canon that are simply gorgeous (and make me go all 'aww!'); it's just more uncommon than not to find them written so well, wherein the tenderness and caring is so them without going all 'oooh baby' and 'sweetheart pumpkin honeypie dumplin'cheeks' and so forth...

Damn, and now I've made myself need an insulin shot. Of course, in writing them, the main endearments I use tend to run along the lines of "Jack, you idiot", so...yeah. :D
