Haircut yesterday. I really like my stylist. I can't remember if this is my 3rd or 4th time with her, but I think I may be getting attached, which is something I've never done before. Hair is bouncy, pretty, glossy. $50.

Annual ophthalmologist appointment today. New prescription necessitating new frames and lenses. New frames are gloriously vivid ( Read more... )

part of me loves how much this post shows the difference in men vs women.

That of course does not mean the ice cream cake.

I go to a barber shop, spend $9 on a haircut, call it a day.

Extra paychecks are always nice!

For years I either cut my hair myself at home or got my mom to do it. This year I decided I wanted to look more polished (and get layers! bounce! movement!), which means a stylist. The haircut itself is $40, not the cheapest but not the highest in the area, but she's good and I like her so I tip her 25%.

I've never colored or permed/straightened my hair. I've never had a manicure or pedicure or a facial (I want to try one of those, though), and I had one massage 10 years ago. As women go, I'm not high maintenance.

Bah, they're just fed and vetted. I don't pay anyone to do their fur and nails.
