I probably won't get around to replying to the onlist posts until Friday afternoon, but I think I've pretty much made up my mind. Unless my co-owners or mods have any further suggestions or objections. I'd prefer this be an executive decision rather than an exercise in democracy ( Read more... )

I think the added warnings would be cool (I tend to put 'deathfic' in the notes so that it covers my butt) so long as we make it clear not to go overboard. I don't want to see [Duo and Heero drug-use and have wild sex with fed-up-with-politics-turned-hooker!Relena while cursing and then cut each other with razors. Semi-AU Angst Deathfic! 1xR, Rx1, 2x1, 1x2, 3x7, 9x12, 1x1x2x2xRxD *insert smiley*] in the title (as amusing and horrifying as it would be.)

Can I be the official bitch-slapper of anyone who doesn't follow the new rating system? ^_^

This really doesn't have much to do with your post, except the first part...my mom always seemed to recommend books with, ah, inappropriate content...for example, I read Girl With a Pearl Earing at age 9, after my mother read it and told me I should read it, and I also think I read Clan of the Cave Bear (I think that's the title) around that age, after my grandmother recommended it (not to mention a book about a pregnant teenager).

Oh, and did I mention I was allowed to see Austin Powers when I was seven and Something About Mary when I was eight? My parents are definitely really weird...
