If you've got the money, don't really need to buy/pay anything else, then go ahead and treat yourself to a nice little gift. :D

it would depend entirely on what you are using it for,

Standard office work, the LCD is fine...

If you want it for gaming, your going to be greatly disapointed in the LCD.

Unless of course you play turn based games, LCDs that are game friendly at large size
are available but still insanely priced Like 500 for 19"

Remember your LCD size is rate by viewable area and CRT is by tube size so a 19" LCD is close to 21" CRT another factor to look at...

My boss has LCD at work and he plays games and he says they suck, they're a year old but were the top of the line back then and suck for games

All I can say is I just went from my pretty 17" flat screen ,that got frapped in the last lighting storm, to a `17" crt and it made me very sad..I think I got better pic from the flat screen and viewing at least movies was much better...I'd go for the flat
