Actually in the manga which is what RT wrote we see almost nothing of Izayoi. We know only Inuyasha's reactions. He is upset when Myoga wants to talk about her. Kagome thinks that he ( ... )

That's what I was told - that the most Izayoi is really shown is in movie #3 (which I watched), and that the canon validity of that is arguable. It's really too bad, as there's a lot of potential story there to be explored.

But then, like you said: that's what fan fiction is for. So I don't mind too much. XD
