Interesting take on the theme. The inclusion on how youkai died out was a thoughtful look at what could have happened to them - given they aren't in the future in appearances at least.

Thank you for your comments. It is amazing when you start
reading about Nobunaga. He was always fighting somewhere or other. I think that such person would be attractive
to a bored Inuyasha after the end of the quest for the jewel. He reminds a little of Tokyo office workers who
work long hours, then drink with their coworkers and
then go to the pachinko palaces. You wonder if they ever
go home and see their families. That is one reason I put
in the reference to 4 or 5 children. Inuyasha has spent
so little time at home that he cannot remember the names
or number of the children that he has produced during his down time (winter.)

I've been reading up on Japanese culture, and there was one conjecture made that the 'little emperor' phenomenom is because the mothers and grandmothers feel as if they must atone for the lack of a male persona in their children's lives, so they over compensate for it, but it feeds into the cultural psyche that the children and the end all, be all of one's existence while not doing anything to mitigate the pressure on the men (and some women) to work all hours to support said kids.

Thank you. I had an alternative ending where he cannot resist the thrill of fighting and goes off to fight with
Nobunaga but I gave in to love.

I love the way you wove history into this piece. It just made it all the more interesting. And the ending made me sigh (a happy one). I was afraid he'd be lost in it all. Well done.

Thank you. I have always loved history and Nobunaga is
fascinating character. I glad you liked the happy ending.
I was afraid that people would like think such an ending
was true given the lure of fighting from which Inuyasha suffers.
