It's either an R2 remake or a continuation + alive!Lelouch. Most people are placing bets on an R2 remake. I really don't care either way.

My brain hasn't been mindfucked since Tsubasa ended. I'm looking forward to this.

(Then again, Tsubasa does have the charm that I can read it over again and I STILL don't quite understand it.)

Quite long ago Sunrise announced that they are making a movie version of the first season, just like they did with Gundam Seed. The article probably confirms it.

There hasn't actually been any announcements about a new anime. They're doing some stuff including a new manga but as far as I know no one has confirmed that a new series is being produced. Here are the two most relevant articles
