I have no freaking idea why and it really really pisses me the fuck off that Gwen is with Kevin. I really, really hate it and don't even watch the show in pure spite to that fact.

My only guess is this: Kevin had a huge, sick following of fans so they turned him to a good guy in the new series.

I don't know why they put him with Gwen and why it is so sickingly obvious and then completely cut out Ben's personality to make them such a pairing then besides they cowardly backed out of the kissing cousin couple they were so canonically making. Which pisses me off because it goes back to my "If you can't stand the fire, stay the FUCK out of my shipping kitchen" but I don't know if I can really say that to a show's creator D:
