Pffft, I highly doubt that. I mean, it's a cute cliche that just doesn't get nearly enough love. (Thanks to you and that one commenter, I kinda snicker every time I see the word "cliche" now).

Aww thanks! I'm really glad what I was trying to get across came across. Neither of them wants to be had, so to speak, so it's always a power struggle, but it's playful because they love each other. ^_^

Well, I think there is a general consensus that you should like this because we sure do.

Wow! It is totally understandable why neither of them could get beyond the shower every morning. I love how Roy tries to manipulate Ed into becoming incoherent and he turns the tables on Roy.

This was delicious in so many ways. Loved the whole Hawkeye glaring thing and the fact that it couldn't stand up to the image of Ed in the shower. I think Roy is correct; there should be a law.

I'm really glad you liked it. I was worried the Hawkeye bit would be too much, but it made me giggle and I couldn't resist. I really don't think a lot stands up to the image of Ed in the shower.

That whole Hawkeye thing was a great thread to weave through the piece. I giggle, too.

It is always fun to see Ed thwart Roy's manipulations and you give us such wonderful examples of this.

And you're right. There isn't a whole lot that could stand up to the image of Ed in the shower. Maybe an earthquake and the need to vacate the building??? Nah, Roy would just pull Ed along with him - or maybe the other way around - and they would find a way to finish each other off outside. :D
