Yay!! Finally, someone not throwing Renji into making InuKai totally dysfunctional! *was getting sick of having Renji only in the picture as someone to try to break them up, or other bad guy stuff* And scarily, some of the things Kaido was saying to him sounded a lot like something I RP-ed with someone. Especically this: "You know, for someone who’s supposed to be a genius, you’re a real dumbass.”

I think my character had said that to Renji a few times. Actually, he reminds me of someone I went to high school with. She was really good with the homework and all, you know, book smart, but when it came to common sense...she was a bit lacking, especially when she got busted for underage drinking.

However, it didn't end up with a kite metaphor. But the metaphor was interesting. The ribbons on it though...Oh, Inui... I think he just wants to see Kaido in nothing but a big pink ribbon...

Okay, going away now, I'm quite chatty at 1:30 am >.

Chatty is good (nodnods).

And yes, Inui probably just wants to see Kaidoh in nothing but some pink ribbons... maybe he'll get his wish when he dresses in nothing but a cat tail and ears for Kaidoh. (grins)

I wanted to have Renji in the story, but to not make him a bad guy, really. Or rahter, I guess, he started out as something of a bad guy, but ended up redeeming himself by giving up his preconcieved notions and coming to terms with the fact that he could never be Inui's best friend again, though they can be friends once more. And, of course, explaining why he never bothered to call or write to poor Inui.

o.o And after my own bout of chattiness... (bows) Thank you for reading and commenting.

*laughs* Well, I can't sleep, so I'll comment spam :P

*grins as well* Cat boy and ribbon boy. That's awesomeness. Pure, pure awesomeness.

I'm glad he became accepting of that. It's nice to have friends other than your current romantic interest. And as for my feelings on what I've seen too much happening to poor Renji: Here I think I just over-thought Renji a bit too much, but it had to be done, I think. And I'm sorry if I don't comment much on the other parts, I am reading the entire thing, I just don't find much to say sometimes and just commenting to say "yay, you posted the next chapter, can't wait for more" seems kind of lame to me.

I failed at the html the first time, sorry

I usually don't like Renji, but I guess it's more that I don't like him the way people usually write him. Heh, though my deciding that he and Inui should be friends again (which would not be an easy thing for Inui at first, as he probably has abandonment issues) is actually because of one of the TeniPuri Family episodes, where he and Renji get drunk together while griping about women. (wonders if scary female Oishi should really count as a woman)

I don't think they ever had any romantic feelings for each other (they were what, ten/eleven when Renji moved away?), but they were best friends, and they should at least be able to be friendly toward each other again, if not best friends anymore.

Your thoughts on the character were pretty interesting. I think I might eventually write a story that takes place in the same fic universe as Facets, where Renji spends some time with Inui and Kaidoh... where it isn't an evil plot of Kaidoh's to poison the poor guy with Inui Juice. (grins and pets Kaidoh... and his inner little sadist)

oi, this is already chapter 7 and I haven't said anything about it yet..
sorry, I'm such a lazy comments writer ^^°
but I definitely love this story! it's obvious that you thought a lot about it and your style of writing is awesome!
those two are just too cute together and the whole kite business in this chapter was adorable!
I can just imagine kaidoh writing down stuff like that in his little poems book and showing it to nobody (but his senpai XD)
can't wait for the next stone ^__^

^__^ Glad you like it so far! The kite metaphor was fun to write and fits how I see the two of them.

Hopefully, the next facet will be posted on Tuesday as usual, but there could be a delay, as I'm moving to a location with unreliable internet on Sunday.

Oh, I loved the whole kite metaphor. And I am so glad Inui came to Kaidoh and assure him that he much more than just brown twine. Poor Kaidoh and his low self-esteem. But Inui's constant, quiet reassurances have been so sweet.

It seems to me that Kaidoh would be good at keeping Inui grounded and in touch with humanity, while Inui lets Kaidoh fly with him. I was thinking of it that way, and the kite metaphor just popped into my head.

(bows) Thank you for reading and commenting.

You know, for some reason,

“You aren’t plain brown twine, you know,” he murmurs,

That always make me tear up and be all ache'y inside. And I've read it how many times? XD;; *is a sap at heart* I think because with that, Inui tells Kaidoh something so much... deeper than that. *obviously likes that word when it comes to InuKai it seems*

Ahem. *loves on you and doesn't care how many times she has read it or if it's new material or not* I still love it.

It's pretty evident from the rest of the story that Kaidoh thinks Inui is pretty special. And in this bit, Inui proves that he thinks Kaidoh is really special too. ^__^

(hugs) Thank you for being such a great sounding board for this stuff.

Poor poor Renji... I just had to say that. ^^;

“Yes, definitely a blue nylon cord… with little pink ribbons tied around it.”

I present you with my big fat AW. And Kaidoh is so AW! too. I liked the whole part about the kite thingy. My insides are all gooey now.... AW.

There's 2 more chapters, I will enjoy myself reading them. :]

(pets Renji) At least he got to somewhat redeem himself for just abandoning Inui when they were kidlets. And there's a chance for them to be friends again, though not best friends, since Kaidoh has that position locked up.

^__^ I'm glad you've been liking the story so far.
