Oh Lucy, Oh Kate. I know where this comes from and it is deep and sad and wonderful and it is so terribly amazing that fanfic gives us a way to express these things.
I adore this. The metaphor of the bridge is beautiful and they way the four find a way to make a difference to be the Valiant/Just/Gentle/Magnificent even in England- wonderful. And somehow I never would have thought of Lucy as a protestor or social activist and yet it makes perfect sense. Lovely.
Thanks. She is so very much the sort of character who just does things and has a keen sense of right and wrong and the need the help, and everyone just seems to follow her for some reason, like when they found Tumnus's house vandalized. I can't imagine that, twenty-five years down the road with her stuffed back into a ten-year-old's body, much would have changed, only gotten more compressed and insistent. I hope you enjoy the music!
