Alright, does ANYONE have anything coherent to say about the Torchwood finale?

Yeah, I didn't think so.
( and i didn't really know you at all so how come i feel so small? )

sensiblecat had a very coherent post about the Torchwood finale, complete with comparisons to King Lear, which I thought were very apt.

Worth looking at, I think. At least, it's the only one that's stuck out for me so far.

I know, I just saw that from the link on your lj. Made my morning, and she really has some good stuff to say about the nature of truth-telling and hope, which I've pondered before- young people tend to be very absolutist in their reasoning and view of the world, which doesn't always jive with a mature mindset. And good god, CoE certainly left out hope in favor of looking brutally at tragedy. Makes me wish I had studied more Greek drama and Shakespeare more, really, but oh well, I can't help my prediliction for the long nineteenth century. (really long? There should be a designation for everything between the Restoration and WWI.)

I suppose I could avoid being lazy and just go look myself, but does sensiblecat often write interesting literary meta? Because she might be worth adding to the flist, if that's the case. :)
