Chapter 1 - Chapter 2

“Welcome to this week’s live show dear Big brother contestants!” Shouted the host with too much chumminess and gave the studio audience as well as the people at home a big fake smile. “This week they will become only 9, and the time is passing by quickly so soon they will have been in there for 100 days, and we will have a winner!”

Patrick cringed on the inside and was secretly hoping this week it would be his turn. He was feeling the pressure of having to live with the person of his infatuation and not being able to run away from it, the way he had done in the past. He turned his focus once again towards the television screen as the host came back in view.

“And now we have a few questions for the contestants about the week that has gone by. First up, Pete, the viewers has had an exceptional interest in the little scene between you and Patrick in the bathroom two days ago.” The host raised his eyebrows and gave off a little smirk. “Or they where more interested in what you said after Patrick left. You care to comment on that?”

In the house all eyes where on Pete that looked completely clueless about what the host was asking about.

“Uhm, I, I don’t know what you’re talking about” Pete replied vaguely.

“Sure you do” the host persisted. “It was right after you washed your face, standing by the sink. Something like, and I quote: ‘Patrick, Patrick, you’ve got me so fucking bad. I just want to touch you, kiss you and make you go as crazy as I am’. Does that ring a bell?

Pete looked straight over at Patrick who had turned a bright shade of red. Pete was really trying to find a good answer without freaking Patrick out more than he thought he already was. Screw it thought Pete. He wouldn’t sugarcoat his longing for Patrick anymore. Maybe now something might actually happen.

“Oh, yes, I did say that. And I meant it.”

Patrick could hear himself inhale deeply and turn even redder. Now he really wanted to get out of here. But somewhere deep inside of him a voice told him that he wanted to stay. He liked the feeling that his feelings weren’t a one way street. He kept his eyes down since he wasn’t ready to meet Pete’s or anyone else’s stares.

The screen was now dark and Lucas had just left the house, as this week’s person to get voted out. Patrick was still sitting on the couch, frozen in the same position as when he had heard what Pete had said the other night. He could feel that he was still blushing, even if had faded dramatically. Someone took the place next to him and even before the person spoke, Patrick knew who it was.

“Dude, are you ever moving again or will we have to lift you when you need to take a piss?”

Patrick felt funny hearing something so normal coming out of Pete’s mouth after an hour that had been nothing but normal. Or at least as normal as Pete could get. He had no clue on how to respond to Pete anymore, it was like his tongue was glued to the roof of his mouth. He made a little noise that came out squeaky and Pete laughed.

“Well then, let me know when you need to be lifted”

Pete walked off and left Patrick trying to deal with everything he was feeling at the moment. For Pete there was nothing to think about, now he was going go full speed and actually try to get somewhere with what he was feeling. But for that sake, he didn’t want Patrick to feel too pressured so for now he would back off. He walked into the kitchen and grabbed a beer, something he could only enjoy after a live show. That was the only night of the week they were allowed to party.

When he finally got off the couch and joined the others, Patrick had decided to do nothing about the facts he had learned tonight. He really didn’t feel like starting something in here, especially not something that could be his first relationship with a man. He went the same way as Pete had a little earlier and took a beer. Everyone was sitting around the huge table and gave Patrick a questioning stare. Patrick just sat down on a chair and drank his beer.

As the night prolonged the alcohol disappeared and one after the other they went to bed. Soon there was only Pete and Patrick left. Pete sat with crossed legs on the floor and tried to make eye contact with Patrick. Avoiding it at all costs Patrick picked up the guitar sitting in a corner and started playing softly. He soon began to sing along in a soft, deep voice that wrapped around Pete like a warm cocoon.

“I’m a stitch away from making it and a scar away from falling apart… Cut it loose, watch you work the room…”

The soft voice made Pete sit perfectly still, something he rarely did. Patrick had lifted his gaze and while he sang he looked straight at Pete, who by now had stopped thinking all together. All Pete knew was that Patrick once again had made him perplexed and that he never wanted him to stop singing. When Patrick stopped it became dead silent and Pete swore he could hear every beat his heart was making, and he knew Patrick could hear it too. Pete let out a ragged breath and got up on his feet and Patrick was up just as fast. In three fast strides Pete was standing just inches apart from Patrick. He could feel Patrick’s breath on his face and heard when Patrick swallowed hard. Another longing stare into Patrick’s eyes and Pete leaned forward, going for those lips he wanted so badly to touch, to kiss. In a blink of an eye Patrick turned his head and took a step back.

“I’m sorry, I can’t” He said and walked away.
