Watching CNN & MSNBC for six days is really a grand way to fuel the hate and depression. Its quite pointless to harp on how the powers here royally FUCKED up this one & how it all reeks of racism. So lucky us, Bush is now, not only a fucking moron but a racist moron, shame this didn't happen BEFORE the election (its a shame it happened at all, for ( Read more... )

As little as I know about you, that was a very nice gesture. I'm sure that little girl will appriciate and remember the kind young lady who went out of her way to do something nice. I can honestly say, you have made my night, perhaps my whole week. You are a great person. I am proud to even say I know you, albeit through the internet. You should be an example.

Its an unfortunate thing that we've lost ourselves to apathy these days. Not to say that compassion and caring doesn't exist, as you can see with the help people have poured out for all massive tragedies - but the every day things seem to go unnoticed. It's always someone else's problem. I just have the need to -something- sometimes; knowing its never really enough. But I thank you for the comment, I don't see it really being a grand gesture, just something that SHOULD be done.

It should be done, hence why I said you should be an example. People should be doing this sort of thing more often, and I'm sure everyone could take lessons. Life would be a hell of a lot better if there were more people who did feel compelled to help in everyday situations.

Agreed. SO much has to change. I attempt to be less pessimistic on my view that it can and possibly will change in my life time, but it's so hard to see that as a tangible future...ever. Who knows though, I believe in possibility enough to know it could all change tomorrow.

As far as the first part, it pisses me off that we still have troops in Iraq, but shit hits the fucking fan on our own soil, and it's STILL a problem. This should have been resolved, ASA-fucking-P, with those people picked up and brought to some sort of facility where they could at least eat and rest. This feels like a Romero movie.

I agree with you about not knowing what it's like to lose a child, or watch one practically fighting for their life, but it doesn't justify removing everything stable in the life of another child. That little girl is going to be so happy due to your kind gesture, though I wish it were her mother thinking about her happiness and well-being, ya'nno?

As for this comment, consider it a hazy idea to return to the LiveJournal world.

I hope I'm ready for this.

Ugh, The entire situation with Iraq is "a shit storm of stupid" (to quote someone - who I don't recall to give a little bit of humor to dull the blatant ignorance) We should have never started that shit...and well, there is no fucking way to pull out now, so we will have another situation like North & South Korea. As we have had a constant military state there keeping the peace for close to thirty years now. As things are going now, it doesn't seem that any peace will be reached there anytime soon, if ever. PLUS, the thing that infuriates me even more is the fact that horrible things are happening and have happened in the rest of the world and we didn't lift a finger then, because those feuding countries has nothing we wanted and nothing for us to gain; specifically speaking of Africa where millions have died, and still die & where was/is good ol (p)resident Bush then & now on that? /end rant ( ... )
