I'm a bit vexed with myself. It seems like every time I manage to get a story worked out in my head, I start losing interest. For probably about two or three years I've had Seventh End in my head, and it's almost fully realized... I even drew the first two pages. One of the things I find most frustrating about being creative is that when you try to talk an idea through with people to solidify it and flesh it out...it's gone. And even when you're not talking to anyone, it still dies if you think too much about it before you actually do it. So half of the time you wind up starting ideas without any clue how they should wind up (executing them badly) or figuring out EXACTLY WHAT TO DO and then totally losing interest in figuring out how to link it to the other ideas.

Grah. That came out wrong. I'd spend time figuring out how to phrase it correctly, but then I'd never comment :-)

It's weird, though... Seventh End is, for all intents and purposes, completely planned out. But now it's like I've lost interest in it. Very vexing.

I HATE THAT. I guess all you can do is keep trying to restart that old inspiration? Please don't give up on it--it's a REALLY COOL project, and you KNOW that you'll be proud of it once it's completed. Try just muscling through it for a while? Hopefully it'll get easier?

I dunno. I've never been good at this.
