I wrote this over my stay in California, and it went from a few lines in my head to something frikkin long.

It's Chrno Crusade, about Satella after she wakes up in the nineties... Some of the details are off, because it had been so long since I last read it, though I reread it today and yesterday.

Oh... There's a whole shtick in Chrno Crusade about how a demon lives by receiving energy through his horns. Chrno loses his horns, and forms a contract with Rosette Christopher. A contract basically saps the lifespan of the human it's made with...

Satella is another character involved in the story, and she disappears for about seventy years and reappears a year after the last living main character dies.
