Again, I'm really glad you enjoyed this! I got irritated at Tor.com for running an article that made this book sound like NOTHING but a romance, because it's not true nor fair, but the angle turned potential readers off. :-/
Ugh, that is unfair. D: There's so much more to the book than just the romance angle, which didn't even come about until the second half of the book. I forgot to mention this in my cover commentary, but one thing that annoyed me about the cover was the catch-phrase: "Sometimes love is the most dangerous magic of all." I know it ties into the conundrum that Emily gets herself into at the beginning of the novel, but that also makes it come off as a romance-driven plot, which it isn't.
