So, so glad you enjoyed this! I will say that with Valente, she's always doing SOMETHING new, and the only thing that really links her books as hers is her wordsmithing, as you so aptly put it. Sounds like you'll be reading more! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on The Orphan's Tales, which is still my favorite. :)
