I ended up getting rid of my copy of this book before September even started. I was only going to initially read it for the book club, but even that wasn't enough to keep my interest, especially since I kept hearing, over and over, that this was a weak book. Seems like my decision was right on the money. :)
Haha, it most definitely was. It definitely didn't help that your July Dare was The Veil of Gold; both are Russian folklore inspired fantasies and TVoG was soooo much better. Just made this reading experience that much more painful, ahaha.
Ooooh... that would make for a difficult comparison! There's not a lot of Russian-inspired fantasy out there, and to read two so closely together... yeah, comparison abounds!
