I will! I read an abridged version, which hardly counts, but I really liked it, so...definitely! I FEAR THE WRATH OF RUNA!

Thanks very much! A lot of those I've either had on my list for ages, then I keep getting sidetracked, some others (like Frankenstein and Les Mis) I picked up, then for whatever reason put them down again. Then some, I hadn't even heard of. So yay!

MELMOTH THE MOTHERFUCKING WANDERER. (Sorry, but all-time favorite book.)

Anything by Umberto Eco (especially Name of the Rose) is mandatory. Also, The Yellow Wallpaper, Of Human Bondage, anything by Camus or Kafka, The Monk, and The 120 Days of Sodom.

:Thunderous applause for George Orwell:

As soon as I saw that, I thought of you!

I own Of Human Bondage! I read the first few pages last month, but it seemed intimidating--not the size, but all of Maugham's emotional traits that are manifestations in Philip. I don't know why, but at the time, I thought it'd be hard to keep track of. I have no fucking idea what my thoughts were.

I've also read Kafka! Amerika. The others, though...nein.

ORWELL FOR THE FUCKING WIN. Thank you, m'dear, this has greatly aided me in figuring out where to start!

So many books!!

I've read quite a few of them, but I was really surprised that Delta of Venus by Anaïs Nin is on here because it's erotica. (Very dirty...even though I'm in college, I'm a little embarrassed to have it on my nightstand LOL) I'm reading it right now. It's pretty crazy, but it's one of the first erotica books written by a female, so I think it's important.

Catcher in the Rye is my favorite book. You have to read it at the right time though; otherwise, you might absolutely hate it. I read it my freshman year of HS, and it changed my life.

Also, you should check out Project Gutenberg http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page

You can get a lot of e-books. Some might cost money, but a lot are free.
