You are correct- you can't pick both of those options. Since we haven't really talked about it before, here's a bit of an explanation of our reasoning behind separating fandoms:

1. We divide fandoms because it's not possible or wise for us to offer lump-sum options like "Star Wars" or "Star Trek". Our biggest problem is not fandoms that are too specific, but fandoms that are too broad; if you wanted Waiting for Godot, we'd be thrilled to oblige, but things can get complicated quickly

Firstly, each one of our signups is done by hand. The process has several steps, and if someone chooses just one fandom, we get to skip a step. This doesn't sound like much, but when you're doing 70+ signups, it adds up. If we let you sign up for the Silmarillion and LotR, you're guaranteed your fandom outcome, but we still have to do the same amount of work. If you want your outcome to be 100%, you have to pick one. That's the bargain
