INTJ and having highly descriminating tastes

All the major figures in my life who are INTJs (myself included) also have a tendency to be extremely discriminating about their personal accoutrement. Even if we don't care about 90% of what what we use in our day-to-day life, there's a sphere where we must have exactly what we wantThe INTJ management guru professor I had in business school bought ( Read more... )

I tend to find what I like and stick to it. Like your professor, I know a few styles of clothing that look good on me, so I just wear those and don't bother experimenting with trendy froofy things. Basically, I just look at clothes and analyze the neck line, length, colors and whatnot that work best with my various bodily and face shapes. I see no reason to wear anything which does not pass my scrutiny. After that, I am done. I have no need to think about what to wear, because I know what to wear.

Speaking of preferences, dark chocolate is infinitely superior to milk chocolate. This is not arguable.

I wear Converse sneakers and have for over 30 years. The ones in this icon are older than many of the people on LJ.

They're comfortable. I do own *one* pair of Nike Air Jordans. I've owned them since they came out. I have probably worn them less than 50 times since then.

This is not a coincidence.

But other than that, I can't think of any other stuff like that I'm super attached to.

I don't know if Nikon cameras count.

I always take notes in quad-ruled notebooks with gel pens. If I have to take notes on any other paper with any other kind of pen, I transcribe my notes into my quad notebook with a gel pen.

Agree. When I find something that I like enough to consider it 'important,' I see no reason to ever spend time deliberating on changing it. It's one less thing to waste time thinking about.

Yes. And woe to the company that discontinues a product I use or wear exclusively. Once, this clothing store I shop at discontinued a line of classic black pants that I wore exclusively to work because I looked good in them and they went with everything. I felt like Elaine from Seinfeld when "they" discontinued The Sponge. I must have bought like 10 pairs in a range of 3 sizes in case I gained or lost weight.

I only see movies at AMC movie theaters (unless there's an indie film that I must see, in which case I drive into the city to the Magnolia). If there's a movie that I want to see but none of my friends are free or want to see it, I'll go see it by myself ( ... )
