James has - well, James always has a plan, it's a side-effect of being who (and what) he is. It may be a plan that appears totally mad and potentially suicidal to someone else listening to him explain what it is, but he'll have one, and it's possible he's just not telling you everything.

Pela comes padding out of the water soon enough, not bothering with a towel, tossing her hair away from her face as she walks. She likes this time of day - the sunlight and the water are warm.

"Were you waiting for me?"

James is leaned forward with his arms against his knees; he was watching the water, but he glances up when she speaks to him. He is perfectly at home lounging on a beach, like he's perfectly at home in so many places, and when she's nearer he leans back onto his elbows to look up at her, stretching his legs out in front of him.

"I was."

"Here I am. What is it?" She very politely does not get water all over him via proximity, combing her fingers through her damp hair.
