Fanmix | Supernatural | Dean Winchester/Layla Rourke | The Fragile
Layla Rourke was a one-shot character in the season one episode 'Faith', played by Julie Benz (the fabulous Darla of Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Layla was a woman stricken with a brain tumor that Dean and Sam met while they were in Nebraska, seeking healing for Dean from a faith healer. I refer you to Super-wiki for a more in-depth and detailed description of the episode. They've done a much better job than I ever could.
She was only around for one episode, but Layla made a fairly lasting impression on me. She had a grace and a strength that was the product of subtle writing and wonderful acting on the part of Julie Benz. And she had such powerful chemistry with Jensen - especially in their final scene together - that I have been obsessed with the idea of the pairing for quite a long time.
It's that obsession that has lead me to attempt my first fanmix. I hope it doesn’t show too much that I’ve never done this before, and I hope you like it.
