THE BOXER

I know how to scrap, but prefer to refrain, whenever possible.  Things don’t always work out that way, though.  When you live like I do - like I have - sometimes you gotta keep your guard up, and know how to protect yourself, if necessary.  Or someone else who needs it, maybe.  Seems that’s been the case more often, actually.  If you’re ( Read more... )

So interesting to get a sense of your philosophy, and see some of the journey that has brought you to the present. Shima still sounds formidable :)

Don't think I've ever heard that descriptor applied to my Shima, but it's probably going to be my new favorite. Yes. She is a formidable woman. I believe she will like that, as well. :)

That is some insight ... I have always loved reading about people's experiences and to understand that I possibly might not be the only one out there. I have the journal habit too ... but these days its more in my head rather than in my book. I need to change that ... perspectives are clearer when you write it down.

No one is ever the only one out there. ;) I agree on the clarity... that's why I've always done it.

This is pretty impressive. I've known a few other people whose lives embody popular songs of different sorts, but I've never seen it broken down this way. Also, you seem like someone I'd probably enjoy running into on a train somewhere. Well done.

Thanks! I've always enjoyed meeting people on trains. Sometimes they can even get me talking. But I usually prefer to listen. If you've got a great story, and I've got a thermos of coffee, I'm yours for the ride.

There was no question what I was going to do as soon as I saw this option among the choices. Was happy to have the opportunity to share like this. Though, to be fair, a little nervous, too. But it's good for me to get out of my comfort zone and push my personal boundaries. So, thank you, then, for offering up this great prompt.
