augh, this IS man in a state of nature! society and nature are a false opposition! fuck incentives, that's not how people work! neither is coalition! fear is not the base impulse of human nature! and gah, combining political categories with both economic and individual psychological actions!

that...is my kneejerk reaction. i'd probably bitch about the prisoner's dilemma too if i remembered what that was.

but as for strong states being peaceful states, nietzsche said it first.
