Thank you so much!! ♥ I'm glad you liked it! Yeah, I feel sorry for Remus too, and I wanted to smack Sirius while writing this. BUT the good news is, I am currently working on Prompt 11, in which things take a turn for the better. Much better. =)

The tension here is very nice and I love our James. In fact, he summed it all up very nicely, did he not?

And this just made me smile: "“Hullo, mates,” he says in what he hopes is a casual, I’ve not just shagged my ex-girlfriend in a cupboard and said Moony’s name when I came kind of voice. It sounds rather squeaky. He hopes the others don’t notice.

Yay, I'm glad you liked it! I'm glad James worked well. I wanted him to be somewhat uncomfortable with the whole idea of his friends being gay and making it even more complicated by starting something together, but he still needed to be supportive. While giving Sirius the reality check he needed. Because he really, really needed one.

You're right, there WOULD be huge tension there because, sexuality aside, dating really unbalances the dynamics of the group. (Think of the trio!) He would be SO caught in the middle and THAT would suck!

Okay, I'm way late, but I've been meaning to reply to that bit in particular. You are SO right, and actually, I think this could be part of what caused Peter's initial (real or perceived) alienation from the group. All around the same time, J/L and R/S pair off. Where does that leave Peter? Probably feeling left out and annoyed. And then after they leave school, it doesn't get better, because they see one another less and less ... and before you know it, Very Bad Things happen. =(
