That line alone, nearly killed me XD! Delicious and well characterized, combined with the last bit...just an extraordinary fic darlin' :D

Thank you! I'm still glancing curiously around for a way out of it, but I have a feeling anything but extreme mind-fuckery/rapeyness is just not in the cards for these two...not that I have a problem with that. ;)

Fantastic closing line! Your writing is so evocative, especially describing the different shades of light and so on.

And your Joker is just fabulously evil and twisted! Was it a conscious decision to turn Batman into Bruce here? The only time I can meld the two personas together or see hints of Bruce in Batman is when he is interacting with loved/trusted ones such as Gordon or Lucius. In my mind he will always stay in Batman persona whenever the Joker confronts him so I can't see him giving in easily to whatever mindfuckery the Joker unleashes on him.

Still, this is a fabulous fic!

The whole Batman --> Bruce thing actually came out of the blue (the blue here being my extreme obsession with the look on Christian's face as the random hooker goes down on him in American Psycho, which I just watched to shrieks of laughter and various hot flash like things). *ahem* I wanted to get Bruce out of that nasty bit of plastic, make him more vulnerable to the fuckery of the Joker, and give the Joker a chance to *coughs* feel the man underneath without spoiling the fun of anonymity -- this caught my brain and I couldn't let it go.

I can't see him giving in easily to whatever mindfuckery the Joker unleashes on him.
Oh yes, agreed. I struggled alot with Bruce's characterization on this one, but in the end decided I wanted to do it so much, his having had a hell of a bad night was going to have to suffice in the way of his breaking so easily the nurse's uniform, of course, did the rest.
