first of all, i like how you think the prose is simple. let me tell you a secret. (i was going for minimalistic) and sometimes i have a habit of going on and on endlessly. and i hoped that i would strike a balance here. you've seemed to put my fears to rest, mate. :)

I loved this one as well: It almost kills Franky. How Mini’s too upset to slam the door. I don't even know why, it's just... It kinda upset me as well while reading lol :)

And there was one, where you wrote something with 9/11 (can't find the line :/) was really amazing as well :)
