Anyone watch "Law & Order SVU" last night?

I missed the first five or six minutes, so I have no idea if it was explained why Cynthia Gibb had three biological kids and one adopted kid (the one she poisoned and then suffocated). I kept wondering what the family's deal was the whole episode and was hoping one of you could help!

Her first child was there's naturally. They adopted the child from Romania and found out the mom was pregnant...with twins. Total surprise.

Anything else???

I'm addicted to Law & Order: CI but SVU is climbing the ranks with us now too.

I'm a fan of the original but watch the others occasionally... The SVU crimes tend to be too gruesome for Hans and there's something really scary about Vincent D'Onofrio's genius on CI. I mean, he can look at a stray hair and figure out the motive for and method of a murder!

Ok, feel free to laugh at me, but I find Vincent D'Onofrio's character to be unbelievably sexy. His genius in figuring out the crime is very attractive. He seems to know something about just about every thing and is so asute about extrapolating things from the tiniest details. He's probably the most attractive character on TV right now IMO.

Xan and I are always so intrigued watching him figure out the situation then nail the squirming perpetrator. I'm bummed we didn't start watching until this season.

SVU is good, but I don't find the main characters to be as interesting and you're right, the crimes are downright gruesome. The last two have been interesting in that they've focused on other issues (the judge last night) and the right to commit suicide in the previous one. I think CI has better overall character development and more synergy between characters.

I don't watch it that often, but I love Vincent D'Onofrio's character. He's always talking up libraries (I think his mother's suppposed to be a librarian?)... Keely, I agree that there's something sexy about that kind of intelligence. :-)

I think he's totally sexy and love that term "he can park his shoes under my bed anyday"!
