I loved your alternate point of view moments showing what happened in the books off-screen leading to Hermione's and Luna's friendship.

This line had me ROTFL "“I’m not Harry and I’m not Ron. My hair is blonde and I don’t have a penis." But by the end of that same scene, I was sobbing.

Such a beautiful fic showing the support and power that is derived from strong friendships. Excellent work!

Thanks for the review! I wanted to explore the duality of their situation, and how they could potentially grow as friends. The line from the Howard Ashman song, Beauty and the Beast played into my thinking:
Barely even friend/
Then somebody bends, unexpectedly.

That was the mindset, that circumstances that brought them together and realizing that they could have different viewpoint and still be friends. Throw in a few situations where there was no one else who could understand your circumstances or your feelings - not even your lover - and you have what I was trying to convey - feminist friendship. How women will help where others will crumble.

I love writing Luna and had a blast writing her in this. She could be cheeky if she wasn't so blatantly honest with everyone. As to bringing you to tears in that pivotal scene, I'm sorry but also Thank You!
