I adore this, definitely one of my faves so far. I love Pansy/Ron, but I especially enjoy fics where Hermione isn't necessarily the 'bad guy' or 'too saintly for her own good' and you managed to find that balance perfectly here, giving us just enough detail about Ron and hers past relationship without so much as to detract from the main point of this story.

Which is, of course, this wonderfully painted, slow burning and elegant romance between a wiser but still flawed Ron and a complex, restrained but inherently vulnerable Pansy. Great use of the prompt and a lovely read. You write this pairing spectacularly well.

this makes my heart sing! I love this pairing, and you've nailed Ron's personality and Pansy's motivations so perfectly. The worries of adult relationships and the courage involved are all so well laid out, as well as a charmingly funny backstory that is entirely believable.

I wasn't sure if I was up to reading this fic tonight (I'm not the biggest Ron fan, but the pairing of Ron/Pansy is always one that intrigues me), but I'm so glad I did. What a *great* Ron voice. This is the man I would hope he'd become. And your Pansy is simply divine. I'm rooting so much for them as a couple.

Now, one nitpick: I think you made a mistake with the year given for the first meeting Ron and Pansy have at her boutique. You say it's 1999 and Ron is married to Hermione with Rose and Hugo already born. Ron and Hermione would not have been married yet and I don't think Rose came on the scene until around 2005?
