Twilight. The main character in Twilight is named Isabella. I really hope I'm wrong, but I fear I'm not.

I don't know if it was previously number 1, but Isabella has been seeing heavy use for a few years now. Ethan is right on too; Hannah and Emma probably peaked a few years ago.

Why are you looking at baby names, hm?

Jacob may be popular because it is also the name of a character in Twilight. He becomes more important in the sequel books. He's the rival to Edward (Bella's love interest). Okay, now I'm a little embarrassed for knowing that ^^;

So personally I've always liked Isabel and Isabella as girl names, so that doesn't surprise me. Now Jacob, I can only think of Lost. Now, what I really want to know is if there's some specific reason why you're looking up baby names? Is there maybe something you need to tell me... ;)

Isabella AND Jacob are in Twilight. Bella is the female heroine, Jacob is one of her love interests (who is part werewolf... no...really.)

Why are you thinking about baby names?......
