You can sort your iTunes music list by anything from the list of file attributes. That includes the section that nobody uses: "Comment". You can go through all of your music files and put the name of the folder in the comment section. Then have "Comment" be one of the columns iTunes shows you. Click on the header to sort and you should be good to go.
Of course, this is only possible now that iTunes has a reasonable "make edits to several files at once" feature. You can highlight whole albums or groups of albums and give them the same comment label all at once. For example, you could highlight all the .mp3s in what I'm guessing is your extensive Final Fantasy collection, right-click and choose "Get Info", and then give each of them a "Nobuo" note in the comment section.
