Oh Rue. Oh man, I really like the way you've done this - I love the interweaving of the music and the frame story, and Rue's attempt to re-create her role in the context of what she knows from ballet and fairy tales.

I had a lot of troubles knowing how to write this one without it seeming too repeated, and as I actually wrote it with these pieces, so I thought that they'd probably add to the fic.

Oh, this is beautifully done -- the music, the ballet, the fairy tales, the love and the pain and Rue's angry sharp-edged uncertainty. It's a lovely exploration of Rue's (Kraehe's) canon journey, and I love most of all that it ends with ambiguity. And that she thinks she's taking Tutu's role -- oh, Rue.

The whole Tutu!Rue, well. I was rewatching and then she did disappear after saying she loved Mytho, so it seemed fitting to a story about changing archetypes.

Totally posthumous I know, but I just wanted to say that this fic really struck a chord with me, and I am terribly picky about my fanfics. Rue isn't a character I normally like that much, but this fic certainly makes her much more salient and intriguing to me. I love the references you interspersed throughout with the various fairy tales and the subverting of the concepts throughout.

Wondrous. Nowadays I don't go out of my way to praise fics very often, I just don't read fics very much at all, so please consider this a great compliment, if that doesn't sound too arrogant ^^;;;;
