This is absolutely wonderful, especially the open question of the ending and what happens after. A beautiful blend of two of my most favorite canons.

Pssst - teeny correction - you might want to correct "water foul" to "water fowl" (up near the beginning.)

Yeah, thanks! I should've waited a bit more before posting it but I was so happy at having finally finished a story again that I didn't reread it and didn't catch many glaringly obvious typos.

I'm glad you liked it!

Oh this is lovely beyond words! I would never have considered crossing these two fandoms, but you do it so gracefully, so perfectly! Your writing style (particularly that reflection on Writers vs. Wizards (haha, makes me think pirates vs. ninjas... ^^;;)) really evoked The Last Unicorn in all its elegance for me ( ... )

I'm not sure if I'll continue it or not at this point, but we'll see if I get inspired. This story pretty much went wherever it wanted to go and I had no idea about it at all.

Yeah, I should've waited until I was more awake before posting it to be able to reread and get the typos. My bad!

This is a lovely crossover! I think my favorite part is Schmendrick's musing on the egocentrism of writers - it is very Schmendrick, and applies so well to Fakir's character and to the meta-themes of Tutu, as well.

The meta in this fic, it wrote itself. I think that's probably the reason for the fic, really. *laugh*

Aw. That was so sweet and beatifully written. The idea of crossing the Last Unicorn and Tutu seemed really strange, but intruiguing, and you did a wonderful job making it work together. I love how they're going to Mytho and Rue's wedding (I love weddings! Drinks all around!) And this is just the most gorgeous line. “She's a duck,” Fakir answered, but then his eyes turned to look at her, and his eyes were wistful and worn and yearning, the eyes Shmendrik had seen so many times in Lir's face. “But once upon a time she was a girl, and once upon a time she was a princess, and once upon a time she was all three in one.”

I was rereading TLU and well, I just couldn't resist the idea.

Thanks for reading!
