oh oh oh this was so good. I really liked the balance you captured between them, the push/pull of Chris' desires vs morals, and the dominant theme of taste (because you just know Rayflo would taste good...), but what really grabbed me?

Well, I do think that it's a mix between regretting and not. He seems so very angry at having turned into a vampire, and at the same time he's still fighting for an absolution, so...

This is so beautifully written, and you did convey the bittersweetness of it all so well. I especially love your slight descriptions, never overwhelming or even "sexy", just enough to be beautiful in a way that makes me think of old gothic churches and Roman statues. I look up to this as a writer and adore it as a reader.

And you still managed to stick in Rayflo being a smartass without interrupting the flow of the story. MUCH love for that, too~
