Lighting glass for photography

Typically, it's best to light glass from behind, or, depending on the background, light the background. That light reflecting from the background defines the glass. To give dark edges to the glass use strips of black card stock just out of frame. To give white edges, white card stock just out of frame. To get rid of reflections, use a circular polarizing filter. It will also enrich any colors, if the glass has color. Another option for some glass and reflective metal to to create a small white translucent tent around the object and light the object through the tent. The lens takes the photo through the front of the "tent".

I just got here this week, to be exact on Wednesday. I am amazed that I didn't find this site before. It seems pretty interesting, a lot more interesting than the usual blogs, and other people sites out there. Well, what can I tell you about me? I am an artist. Thus I thought that since you are into art stuff I should drop you a note.

I haven't written much. I don't even know what to say, know what I mean? Anyhow, this is the first time I am writing anyone here directly.

Well, I live in Sterlington, LA not in NOLA
I meant that I got into the web site and didn't know what to say. However, NOLA is my hope, as an artist where people are a bit more free to be themselves. However, I am always myself, lol.
