U2 - fuck off Muse - fuck off Stevie Wonder - meh The Flaming Lips - fuck the fuck off (actually liked their last album for once, but still) Groove Armada - gotta be kidding. Jamie T - who the fuck? Ash - meh George Clinton, Parliament/Funkadelic - meh
I wouldn't go for any of them - if I was already there I'd probably see Muse and the Pet Shop Boys, assuming there wasn't someone else on I'd rather see at the time.
There's some good stuff scattered across the rest of the programme, too: caught Jerry Dammers and the Spatial AKA Orkestra in Edinburgh a couple of weeks back, and if they're anything like as good as they were then....
I have a hypothesis from last year I'd like to test: when the line-up was announced, most of the negative comments were from folk without tickets, and the majority of positive comments were from people who were going (I include people working the festival here).
Now, to what extent is that a "not my sort of festival" effect, and to what extent is it people trying to persuade themselves that going or not going was a good idea, really?
I didn't have a ticket last year and thought the line up was great. I do have a ticket this year and I think the line up isn't great (although there is still tons of good stuff on it).
My idea (demoted from hypothesis for now) was based mostly on the interminable comment strings on FaceBook - the comments also tended to be a lot less restrained there.
But yeah, a cursory glance shows a fair amount of good stuff, just not enough or spectacular enough to live up to the 40th anniversary hype (to be honest, though, hardly anything could have, short of ALL of the fantasy predictions coming true - even the ones that need seriously skiffy technology).
and only ticked Ash if it was very cheap and at a good small venue like the Roadmender in Northampton (except they are not cheap enough so not buying).

Not that I could go to any festivals this year anyway! And if I could, it'd be more likely to be Reading/Leeds.

Oh, Clashfinder's up, but there's no sign of the lineup mashup tool....

And of course, some of the good stuff clashes.
