Reaction Post to Merlin 5x01

I am finally sat down last night and committed to typing out my reactions/review to the first episode of Merlin. Yes, I know I am extremely late, seeing as the second episode is already out. But my life is getting to the extra busy season and I only got to watch it on Thursday.

I loved all the Merlin/Arthur moments in this ep and loved that it sort of fit with my head canon. :)

Yeah, it sort of fit with mine too. I think the only thing that really bugged me was Arthur's comment about believing the sorcerer...though he did say afterwards that 'and even if it were true...' so I guess he didn't totally dismiss it. His father is gone and he needs to get out of saying things because that's what Uther would. He needs to be his own King and see how Uther's hatred is still hurting Camelot. Make peace, not war. *ends rant in its tracks*

I think it's writers' way of putting off the reveal. Because if Arthur didn't say those words every once in a while, Merlin might have already told him.
