(For $2 bucks off)

I had lunch at the Carl's Jr outlet at Plaza Sing today with a dear ole friend, a fellow mummy, of 3 kids (a girl + 2 twin boys), and she kindly printed out the above vouchers, so we had 2bucks off each of our combo meals!   I never tried Carl's burgers before, and I'm just so so so full now! I had ( Read more... )

I just went to the Carls Junior website to print out the coupons (thanks for sharing abt this!) and I looked through all their pictures. I'm feeling a little hungry now!

There are a ton of things in Daiso! I walk, I put them into my basket and then the cash register goes *kerching*. And I realised I've spent quite a bit. It's worse when Samuel's there. He keeps buying plastic pouches/folders in all sorts of sizes and colours!

on the contrary, i feel so full i don't dare to go to their website again today! hahahahaha!

oh man, Samuel sounds so much like Steve who is always buying some plastic files/storage boxes/etc etc etc too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ikea storage boxes, stationery boxes, togoyo boxes etc.

I just looked at my spoils again, and realised that I even bought this rubber thing to help to open stubborn tin covers/ketchup,chilli bottles etc!!!!!! I knew I paid $18 bucks, so that was 9 items and in my original list, there was only 7. :) The 9th item was a comb my friend bought for her little girl (the hello kitty comb).

I never stepped into the Plaza Sing Daiso. Have been to the IMM one only a few times in my life. So now, after church, we can go to Plaza Sing more often:) More reasons to do so:)

But how to shop in peace when you've got a young child and an active toddler waiting for you? I need to browse in these places at my leisurely pace. Samuel always says I'm a slow, indecisive shopper. On the other hand, he comes from a family of fast shoppers! I remember a US trip I had with his mum and sis before we were married. We'd hit the shops and spend about an hour or so in every store. And when we meet up after we're all done, his sister's shopping cart is always full, to the brim! Even in a DIY store, the cart's also full!

There's another Daiso in Vivo City. Can go there if you intend to shop at Vivo one day.

Oh my goodness, Samuel's a plastic lover too. Hahaha. You know, Ikea sells those small plastic boxes in an assortment of 3 colours (usually found near the kids section). He keeps buying that. Dunno what he intends to keep inside. :p Looks like they have quite a few similarities!

yes THOSE IKEA small coloured boxes exactly!!!!!!!!!! He keeps buying those! Says he keeps his spare batteries, stationey, 3M (spare) hooks, and god-knows-whatever stuff he buys to store in them in them! i must say, our men have a lot of (weird/unusual) similarities!

i guess I can still handle Shann with me, but Lorraine, definitely cannot go shopping with me now unless my maid is following her everywhere. She goes to the bookshops and takes all the books out of their shelves and we all have to place the books back quickly. Shann is such a bookworm she can stay in Times forever! Lorraine is a havoc tho.

What's with DIY stores that most men (i'm not sure about his sister's buying habits) always come away with lots of stuff too?!

there are no longer those $1.99 shops (they went under) so Daiso's such a lovely place to shop and their stuff are just so quaint and cute (kawaii) that you can't help but not buy somthing!!!! there's this Dollarvalue chain, but i don't really fancy their stuff, as the ones Daiso carries :)

you enjoying Melbourne? or back in Sydney now? so when's the next trip back to Sg?

Spent Mothers' Day weekend in Melb with my sis , which was fun & FREE !!!
back in Sydney now - did tons of shopping & eating ( tho it was so hard trying summer clothes in winter cos it's so cold!! But the summer sales were too tempting!)

Next trip home should only be Nov/ Dec :(

But then again, it would be en route OUT of New Cal!! woo hooooooo!!!

hey... you should have popped by the scrapbook shop! it's on the 3rd floor, just beneath daiso. I am sometimes there on Sundays, like this coming Sunday for example. I will be there from 2.30pm to 5.30pm, having class.

thanks for the carls jr. link!

if anything, we might be around plaza sing area after church for early lunch, and that's like from 11 to 1 plus. if we do stay on (unlikely as lorraine will need her nap), i'll definitely pop in to see what you've been up to ! :)

enjoy the burger(s)!

will try, i'm so backdated with pictures becos i don't know how to operate the camera (silly right?) and need to rely on hubby to upload onto CD or my laptop for me before i can post.

the vegetable cutters are very simple : just a stainless steal shape of either a cloud or a flower, so you hold onto one end, and just press hard on the cutting end. looks just like those cookie-shapes. will try to post when i can!
