"Listen to her.  She believes you'd save her over killing me.  How...charming," sneered Lucius.

Thanks. I find that 100-word scenes are good ways to tell these stories without the need to add too much backstory or other distracting prose.

Wow, I totally didn't intend that, although it may have been there unconsciously. When I first wrote that line, I didn't even know exactly what Hermione was pleading for, but the word just felt right. Thanks for commenting!
