What makes you think there is ANYTHING wrong with Itachi at all?! He's PERFECT. Except for the fact that he's going blind. But MMMM, THERE MUST DEFINITELY BE LOTS OF TOUCHING OF SASUKE THEN. And really, you can't go wrong with that.

Itachi WILL NOT DIE. Don't you see? Sasuke CAN'T kill him. Itachi is not at his full potential. OF COURSE Sasuke can surpass him. Itachi is no longer at his full potential! ANd so, any vengeance will not satisfy Sasuke. Its not so much revenge as proving to his brother he is more powerful now. And how can he do that if Itachi is already 'weak'? Its not the same as with Orochimaru (remember? he said, "I didn't beat Oro. He was already weak. That was all.").

Well, lets be honest here. With all the snakes shooting left right and centre from Sasuke -- there's a good chance he's already compensating for something he forfeited for power. So, since Itachi's powers came to him NATURALLY without the additional boost of a curse -- obviously, there is only one brother still with relatively healthy, NORMAL sperm.
