I've been busy! But I got last weekend off to hang out in Austin with Cat for the day after her birthday and also have a tea party and it was super fun and broiling hot at the same time. We ate much good food, however, that means little coming from me who works all day and never gets lunch breaks so therefore any food tastes good.
(
recap for my own memories, of which we all know I have little )

Psh, the temptation is great to buy all new EVERYTHING for a house you just purchased, but man you can get yourself into a pit fast if you buy everything you think you need/want. I fell into that with our first house and just bought a bunch of shit from big box stores just to have something in an empty spot. Those things meant nothing to me and ended up just taking up space in my life, and when we moved to Dallas I ended up selling/donating most of them just so I wouldn't have to move them. Now I focus on only buying decorations/furniture that are good quality and/or have some personal significance to them. As a consequence, we have a lot of empty walls in our current home and we've been here a year already, and that's ok with me. Stick to your guns!

Oh thanks for the advice. I definitely can't afford to put more things on financing after this house purchase, I'm practically back to zero by the end of this month. But I'm not the only one living in this house, so I know we'll be making a few purchases already, like a new fridge and washer and dryer and for me, a new mattress.
