Welp, I think I am going to try to take art commissions in the summer while I'm off. I need the money and financial aid next year is all screwy and stuff. I don't want to be like the interns this year, trading slices of cheese for five chips in order to survive

If money is a big concern, then I think that you'd earn more with a minimum-wage part-time job for the same amount of effort and time. But if you want to get extra cash while having fun with your hobby, then I don't see any problem. :)
How about selling prints of your fan arts too? Less stress on you and more affordable for everyone.

Going to art school isn't the only way to become an artist. Knowledge doesn't come only in the form of classes. Just keep drawing and visiting art libraries during spare time. :D

I do want to continue with art as a hobby, though, I just don't think I'll ever have enough time as a pharmacist, or not until I become very old. And as for fanart prints, very few of my fanart is worth making into a print, I'd need to draw more.
