Well I've noticed that eating healthier is almost easier because you need to eat LOTS, and I heart eating. I need to make sure I get AT LEAST 21234 calories a day, and my step dad confirms, as long as I got a good amount of veggies/fruits and good carbs I don't have to competely ( Read more... )

He's definitely correct on keeping your heart rate lower so that you dont eat away at your muscle for energy (muscle is easier to burn).

You can look into a maintence calculator to figure out what kind of calorie deficit you need to lose 1 lb / week.

Walking before breakfast will help cut fat faster due to you not burning simple fuels (such as sugars) first. Your body will target fat first.

Make sure your carbs are from complex carbs (specifically whole grains, cut the flour) - minimize simple carbs.

Consume most of your carbs atleast 4 hours before bed. Before calories should mainly just be from protein, fats, and green veggies for carbs.

If you think what im saying is bs, i'll be quiet ;)

yeah my step dad pretty much said all that, and the funny thing is it's not that I'm super out of shape, I just quit dancing back in November and my softball just ended and I took the last semester off school so my activites have dropped so I noticed some lbs gained, nothing major or crazy, just like 10, I'm sure my body will bounch back quick once I get into a routine. But thanks for the input, alreayd had the calculation figured out, and I eat well now, I cut pretty much empty carbs out (white bread, pasta, fried anything) and usually sub it with wheats and grains, plus I LOVE veggies.

oh and I eat eggs every morning! :)
