Sure, she could have been out doing the social thing. She could've been out trying to pull. She could've been doing a lot of different things, but Thelma was, instead, in her room with the door open, reading a particularly steamy novel while listening to music on her headphones.

"A giant cat tried to eat my foot," Cassie blurted the moment she got into the room.

Thelma pulled out one of her ear phones.

"Tried to what?"

"Downstairs in the kitchen," Cassie continued in clarification. "There was a cat, which had an unusual attraction to my foot." With that, she wandered over and flopped on her bed, before pulling her trainer off. "And, ow."

"That's normal for cats, isn't it?" Thelma said. "I mean, being playful and all that."
