Nanoha is a combat instructor, so she's very good at teaching. She's also a tactician, as her role on a squad is to be the "midfielder," who provides ranged support but is far enough back to have a wider view of the scenario and direct her teammates accordingly.

Zhiai'kahn served as a practically a general during a war, so she's good at tactics. Mostly guerrilla warfare, at that. She's also not a bad teacher when it comes to weapon making and some engineering. And while her leadership position on her home world is mostly just a title now, she was quite a good leader when she was younger.
