Man, people are just so fucking touchy about their livejournals.

You are not obligated to add anyone back.

And no one is obligated to remove anyone.

P.S. Even though I believe it's below me to say this, I must...

When you add someone without knowing them, it's like going up to someone on the street and saying "You're my frieeeeeeeend".

You wouldn't tolerate it, and I shouldn't have to.

No, it's not.

The internet is a completely different arena. There is nothing that says that I can't read your journal if it's public. If you have it friends only or private, then so be it, but by having it public you're making it open to just that: the public. Thus meaning that I'm free to add you and read your public entries.

Then you can access my journal on its own.

You know, I used to work with people like you; ones who went up to complete strangers and started hugging them. They're called 'mentally retarded' for a reason.

So what's the point of all this? Could you possibly have the time to read them all?

insertlamename January 11 2004, 08:04:13 UTC
Oh no, of course not.

I think you missed the purpose of this whole shtick.

It was mostly to annoy the fuck out of people who are overly sensitive about their Livejournals.

LOL. No, I thought it was probably simply an annoyance tactic. I just had to enquire.

Still, it's only polite to read what your friends have to say.;-)

Anyone who gets annoyed is being hypersensitive.

i dont really care that you added me. you're right, live journal is open to the public. however i can understand how some people might get upset over some random person adding them. for all they know you could be some axe murderer trying to find their next victim.

it is funny how some people react though. i totally agree that if people dont want others reading their journal, they should either put it on friends only, personal or just not bother having an online journal.

however, i would like to know how you got my lj address?

for all they know you could be some axe murderer trying to find their next victim.

So they're more than welcome to making they're journal public. I could access they're journal anyway in the same way, I just added them to 'make it more convieniant'.

Oh, god, I have like 200 something people. I have no idea.

So they're more than welcome to making they're journal *private*.

Sorry about that.
